My purpose in starting this blog is to share information with you about plastic surgeons, dentists, clinics & hospitals, available treatments and their costs in Budapest, Hungary.
As traveling abroad for medical treatments or more commonly 'Medical Tourism' becomes more popular, having first hand information from the inside about medical professionals, clinics, treatments and costs makes a big difference.
There is a big arbitrage situation going on in the world now. As the costs of medical and dental treatment continues to rise, price gaps continue to grow between Eastern block countries like Hungary and the West. If you have the right information, you can save thousands on exactly the same treatments with the same highly trained professionals as in your home country.
Merely doing a google search on the Internet doesn't really guarantee you will get what is offered. Anyone can say anything on the Internet. There's really no way to check. However, I've been here in Budapest for 16+ years, I'm a doctor myself and I did my medical training here in Budapest from 1993-1999. I've worked in health care in Budapest ever since and this means I have access to inside information and experience about healthcare professionals that you couldn't possibly have. I'm regularly in the operating theatres observing surgeries, I meet doctors and dentists daily for coffee, lunch & dinner. I've met their families, children, friends etc., and, most importantly, I've seen the results they've achieved on hundreds.
